We met through mutual friends during the summer of 2017. I told all my friends how cute I thought he was, but I had no idea if he was interested in me or not. I invited him to my friend's birthday celebration and he came and brought 8 of his friends. We have been inseparable ever since.

We were initially scheduled to vacation in St. Lucia in May 2022, but our sweet dog Oakley was diagnosed with cancer and we needed to cancel the trip to begin his treatment. Jewell insisted we re-book our St. Lucia trip as a make-up / "post busy season" trip for us. He downplayed it entirely and did not tell anyone (except his dad and brothers) that he had plans to propose. On the 2nd night there, we were walking to dinner at sunset and we came upon this pier in between the Piton mountains. There were rose pedals, candles and champagne and I looked at Jewell and said "is this for us?!". He said yes and we walked out onto the pier where he proposed. And of course I said YES. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Dallas!
