This is a true favorite for us and it will not disappoint! There is also an OTR location if you are venturing closer to the heart of downtown. The Turtle is highly recommended, it is essentially the Skyline Chili -3way/cheese coney- if you are checking out for the 1st time! We also love the Baja and Diablo! Not open on Sundays.
On your way in look to your left for a likely view of Jeremy shooting birdies or bogies and golf things like that! Known to us as The Grizzly/The Jack Niklaus Golf Course and "Courseview Restaurant" - this is where we first met and spent many summers during and after college both working and hanging out. This is easily still the best patio in the area!! The golf course is right in our backyard (we are on hole 3!) and was designed by the Jack Niklaus himself. Golf is reasonably priced and The restaurant has outdoor music Thurs-Sat. Shares a parking lot with The ATP on one side. The ATP/Lindner Tennis Center hosts the Western &Southern Open every year and will be here Aug 13-21st. If you do attend and need a parking spot be sure to let us know and we can accompany you at our place any time, as it is less than a 5 min walk!
This is an overall recommendation for Downtown Loveland- If you haven't been in a few years you will be amazed! This is a happening spot and something for everyone. We love Bishops Quarter, the Bike Trail, Loveland Canoe/Kayak, Paxton’s, and the Dive of all Dive Bars, Cindys!! (Cindy's Tavern). Last stop kind of place.
Katie spent years living in the Columbia Tusculum area (Another excellent area to visit with plenty of character, views, bars and restaurants). We are partial to ALMs park and think it has the best of the best panoramic views of Cincinnati and so much to offer, while being a little bit more secluded than other parks in the area. 2 giant overlooks of the Cincinnati River and also Lunken Airport. Watch from above planes and helicopters take off all day long, or enjoy the numerous trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, historic monuments/sculpture things (?) :)
If you are in the area and are looking for a few hours of fun + incredible people watching, Kings Island is a world renowned theme/amusement park with endless roller coasters that will remind you that your knees kind of hurt and that you must be very old now; while pondering how on earth you rode these rides for hours on end in your youth and still kept your $12 dippin' dots down.
The line is worth it, swear.
A favorite date spot for us- have to grab a table in the air controlled outdoor/indoor area- great atmosphere! Love the Moscow Mule and the Picasso roll! Located in the Liberty Center- there is tons to do /eat/see + music and shopping.
We love divey breakfast places and the more old-school the better (Minus lack of a Bloody Mary option!!). Mason- Mason Grill. Norwood- Bluebird Cafe (You can play old records from your table with individual record players). Real salt of the earth- don't go expecting Maplewood or even First Watch! The food is always spot on for us after a late night or just a laid back morning! <3 By the way, Maplewood is really good though for a more upscale or health friendly brunch! (Too much green & health in the menu for Jeremy though).
