"Coastal Formal" means imagining a late summer Maine garden party where you're dressed to impress, yet still comfortable enough to spend a whole day hanging out on the (soft) grass by the salty sea air, and possibly competing in a ping-pong tournament (we'll be impressed if you can do this in stilettos). Think natural or bright colors, but if a little black dress is your thing, go for it! Bring a sweater for the late evening breeze. You may also consider wearing more comfy shoes to walk from your accommodations on Bailey Island, and bringing those gorgeous heels in your purse.
Yes! If you would like to stay on Bailey Island, you will need to rent a car to be able to get there from Portland. You'll also want a car to be able to get to restaurants, stores and other things to do outside of the wedding. Please note that no one will have a parking spot at the wedding venue, and you will still need to take the shuttle.
We will have a shuttle! There is one shuttle from The Brunswick Hotel to Bailey Island with limited space. There will be a second shuttle looping Bailey and Orr's Islands for the guests who are staying in Airbnbs and inns there.
Yes! Let us know if you plan on driving to and from Bailey Island and we will tell you where to park in order to catch the shuttle. There is no parking at the venue.
Text Katie or Jasper and we will match you up!
Reach out to Katie or Jasper if you just need a spot to crash!
Your formal invite will specify this.
