“We're Getting Married!”

My only request for when Jason proposed was that I wanted to be caught off guard, like REALLY surprised. We took a weekend trip to California for my great grandmother's surprise 90th birthday party. It was a great opportunity for Jason to meet some of my family. While we were there, Jason really wanted to go to Disneyland. The entire day my mom and I were so focused on scheduling our fast passes for the next ride trying to get the most out of our day at Disneyland. I was also just enjoying my time and all the new things that had changed since I went as a kid. We knew we wanted to watch the fireworks, so we got some coffee while we waited for them to start. After, we waited for them to open the castle back up so we could get pictures. I was so energized from the coffee that I was ready to Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah through the castle with Tristian’s lightsaber, I could not for the life of me understand why we kept stopping for pictures, (I know now it was because Jason was nervous). So, when Jason grabbed me to stop me again, it hit me, what was about to happen. I was saying No, No, like, “No, way” is this really happening, now, here? “How did I not see this coming?” He actually is REALLY surprising me. It all made sense why he wanted to go to Disneyland. One always hears of other people’s stories of how they got proposed to in front of a Disney castle, never in a million years did I think it would happen to me, and yet here I am sharing MY Disney castle proposal story.
