We technically met through Match.com but soon realized we had many mutual friends. We went on a few dates and then decided to just be friends for "now". And that's exactly what we did until the beginning of 2021!

We had a trip planned for months to Black Mesa (Jake's favorite part of the state), which is in the panhandle of Oklahoma. We hiked 4.2 miles to the very top where Jacob found a spot overlooking down into the beautiful valley. After fumbling around with about 8,000 things in his pocket, he pulled out a white box and held in between his fingers showing it to me. After we overcame some emotion, he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him and of course I said YES!
