San Miguel de Allende doesn’t have its own airport, but it’s accessible from a few nearby international airports, all with easy ground transportation into town. The two most convenient options are: 🛬 Querétaro International Airport (QRO) This is the closest major airport to San Miguel de Allende — about 1 to 1.5 hours’ drive from the city center. Many flights from the U.S. connect here, and once you’re landed you can take a taxi, ride‑share, shuttle, private transfer, or rental car directly into town. 🛫 Mexico City International Airport (MEX) If you find a good international fare (especially from the U.K. or larger U.S. hubs like Houston), Mexico City is a good option. MEX offers more flight choices, and sometimes better prices, though the drive to San Miguel de Allende is about 3.5 hours. From there you can book a coach to get you into San Miguel de Allende.
