While we had some reservations early on, we want everyone to know that we have decided not to reschedule our wedding date. Due to the recent vaccine expansion, we have also decided not to limit guest attendance at our reception. We strongly encourage all guests to be fully vaccinated if they plan to attend.
The reception is adults only due to limited capacity. Please let us know if you are traveling with children so we can help arrange a babysitter.
If you choose to drive, there is both parking at the church parking lot and at the Westside Warehouse for the reception. However, if you're staying at the wedding hotel, the church is a less than a ten minute walk, so parking shouldn't be necessary. We also plan to have a hotel shuttle to and from the reception venue. For in town guests not staying at the hotel, we recommend using uber/lyft.
The Basilica is located where Peachtree Street and Peachtree Center merge at Ralph McGill – an easy walking distance from the Westin. A Parking Lot is accessed from Ralph McGill, which is free for our use. Simply take a ticket, and validate it the Basilica’s entryway as you enter or leave the ceremony.
$119.00 a night before taxes and fees.
We will have a shuttle to transport guests to the church starting at 1pm, but would ask that these seats be reserved for those with limited walking capabilities. The Basilica is a short 0.4 mile walk north on Peachtree St. We will also have a shuttle to take hotel guests to and from the reception. Pickup will begin at the Westin at 5pm, and the driver will return to the hotel to take a second wave of guests around 5:30pm. We have full use of the shuttle between 5pm and 11pm, so if any guests want to leave the reception early they are free to use the shuttle to get back to the hotel. The shuttle seats 32 guests at a time. The hotel is only a few miles away from the venue, so Uber and Lyft are also great options.
For non-wedding party guests, face masks will be required while entering and while seated in the church. While sharing transportation, we would request the use of facial coverings for those who have not been vaccinated. Our reception venue does not require facial coverings, but we will not discourage you from wearing one should you choose to. We are hopeful that nearly our entire guest list has been vaccinated so that we can celebrate without restrictions.
