The ceremony starts promptly at 3 p.m., followed by a drinks reception (cocktail hour) from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Dinner begins at 5:30, with the meal served from 6 to 8. The band kicks off a bit after dinner and will play until around 11, when the DJ will take over until 1:30 a.m. After that, we’ll head downstairs to the cellar bar to keep the celebration going until about 3 a.m. Guests will be treated to drinks during the cocktail hour, and wine will be served at dinner. Additional beverages will be available for purchase after dinner, which is customary in Ireland.
There is limited on-site lodging, and those spots are reserved for the wedding party and immediate family. If any openings become available, we’ll reach out to guests directly. You have a couple of great options depending on the experience you're looking for. Wexford Town is about 25 minutes from the venue and offers more tourist activities, shops, and restaurants and is easily walkable once you're there. Local accommodations near the venue provide a more authentic countryside experience. These spots are closer to the celebration but will likely require a rental car and booking a taxi in advance. We're happy to walk you through some different options, so please ask if you have questions! Please let us know where you end up staying so we can plan transportation and other logistical details.
We will be providing transportation to and from the meet and greet and the wedding day festivities. You will be responsible for your transportation for the day-after BBQ. You will need to pre-book taxis to head back to your accommodations, as the venue says it will be very difficult to get a taxi when leaving Horetown House.
We love each and every one of your children, but we want you to let loose and enjoy all the festivities. Kiddos can join us at the day-after BBQ, but keep in mind there won't be toys or entertainment.
We'd love for you to arrive 30 minutes before. Enjoy a pre-ceremony glass of bubbly and take in the beautiful surroundings before finding your seat.
In October, the average high is 57°F / 14°C, and the average low is 48°F / 9°C, but be prepared for anything. We certainly hope we won't have rain over the wedding weekend, but it's highly likely we will. Depending on how that Irish weather is feeling, we could have some of the festivities outside. Bring coats or wraps so you won't be cold.
