The ceremony begins at 3:00 p.m., followed by a cocktail hour from 3:30 to 5:30. Dinner starts at 5:30, with the meal served until 8:00. The band will play after dinner until around 11:00, followed by a DJ until 1:30 a.m., and an after-party in the cellar bar until about 3:00 a.m. Drinks will be provided during cocktail hour, with wine served at dinner. Additional beverages will be available for purchase after dinner, as is customary in Ireland.
On-site lodging is limited and reserved for the wedding party and immediate family. If any rooms become available, we’ll reach out directly. You have two great options for your stay. Wexford Town, about 25 minutes away, offers walkable access to shops, restaurants, and activities. Staying near the venue in an inn or Airbnb provides a more authentic countryside experience and puts you closer to the celebration, but may require a rental car and pre-booked taxis. We’re happy to help with recommendations, so please reach out with any questions. Be sure to let us know where you’re staying so we can plan transportation and logistics.
We will be providing transportation to and from the welcome party and the wedding day festivities. You will be responsible for your transportation for the day-after BBQ. You will need to pre-book taxis to head back to your accommodations, as the venue says it will be very difficult to get a taxi when leaving Horetown House.
We love each and every one of your children, but we want you to let loose and enjoy all the festivities. Kiddos can join us at the day-after BBQ, but keep in mind there won't be toys or entertainment.
We'd love for you to arrive 30 minutes before. Enjoy a pre-ceremony glass of bubbly and take in the beautiful surroundings before finding your seat.
In October, the average high is 57°F / 14°C, and the average low is 48°F / 9°C, but be prepared for anything. We certainly hope we won't have rain over the wedding weekend, but it's highly likely we will. Depending on how that Irish weather is feeling, we could have some of the festivities outside. Bring coats or wraps so you won't be cold.
