Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Katie Troutman and Emiliano Mugnaini
Grosseto is the provincial capital of the Maremma in Tuscany. The city boasts several interesting historical attractions. The city walls were rebuilt by the Medici in the 16th century and are still in good shape today. The Archeological Museum ( Museo Archeologico e dell’Arte della Maremma) is worth a visit along with The Cathedral of San Lorenzo. The hill of Roselle contains the most important Etruscan – Roman remains of Tuscany. These ruines are along the road Siena-Grosseto, a few km north of Grosseto. Very close to the wedding venue! Not far outside of town are unspoiled beaches, and beautiful contry side. The Uccellina Natural Park is just a few kilometers away. Castiglione della Pescaia is one of the most attractive coastal towns in Tuscany. Wine and cheese tastings are another way to enjoy the agriturismi that has flourished in this area in recent decades.
