We’re getting married!

We started talking in September of 2024, and by December 18th, we officially began dating. From the beginning, there was something different between us... something calm, real, and easy to feel. One of the first things David noticed about Katie was her eyes. They were gentle, loving, and made him feel safe in a way that was hard to explain. Katie fell in love with David’s smile, even though he still doesn’t see it the way she does. After our first kiss, we both felt the spark immediately. It was one of those rare moments where something simply felt right. We have both been through difficult seasons in life, but those experiences shaped us into people who knew what we truly wanted: love, peace, loyalty, emotional safety, and a life built with intention. Somehow, we found in each other exactly what our hearts had been needing. He was learning what it meant to be loved gently. She was learning what it meant to be loved fully. Together, they found the kind of love that finally felt like home. No matter what the day brings, by the end of the night, everything else fades into the background. It becomes quiet. It becomes simple. It is just us. On March 21, 2026, we went to Moore State Park for what Katie thought was a hike and birthday celebration after that. David had something much bigger planned. With the help of his friend Zach, rose petals were laid out leading up to the covered bridge, setting the scene for the moment David asked Katie to spend forever with him. And she said yes.
