Question
Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
Answer
The ceremony is being held at our church Immanuel Lutheran. The reception will be held shortly after at My Sister's Barn in Fairgrove, MI

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony is set to begin at 2. We welcome you to arrive early so you can be settled before everything begins.

What happens after the ceremony?
Answer
We will be spending a short time taking photos at the church and nearby. Once the ceremony is concluded there will be cocktail hour at the reception venue beginning at 4:30 pm. Guests are more than welcome to head that way to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks.

How far is the reception venue from the church?
Answer
The barn is 19 miles from the church, and depending on the weather is a 25-30 minute drive. There is parking on site, and they have a drop off area just off the road so that you don't have to walk up the steps from the lower parking area. The parking is a gravel lot so please take advantage of the drop off spot!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
We would love to see everyone dressed in their best, but we don't have any specific attire.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
We having reserved a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn in downtown Bay City. If you would prefer somewhere else there is a Courtyard by Marriott located nearby as well.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
In order to help our guests arrive to and from the reception safely, those that are staying at the Comfort Inn have access to a free shuttle that can take you to and from the ceremony.

Are you registered? Where?
Answer
We are registered at Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We also have some items from Amazon and the Zola store. Everything is compiled together on our registry tab on this website.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Unfortunately our venue can only hold a certain number of guests, so we need to stick to a strict guest list. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
While we love all of your little ones we are unfortunately unable to have them at the wedding. We are very limited for our guest list and in order to have everyone that we love there we are not able to accommodate your kiddos at the wedding. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home for the evening to celebrate the night with us!

What type of food and drink will be served at the reception?
Answer
Our venue smokes and makes everything in house including BBQ, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and a variety of salads. We will also have a selection of beer and wine for everyone to enjoy at the open bar.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?
Answer
We have hired an amazing photographer for our wedding and kindly ask that you allow her to do her job; and please not take photos during the ceremony. Once everything has concluded and you'd like to take some photos after you are more than welcome.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Bay City?
Answer
If you're staying downtown at the Comfort Inn there is a great variety of restaurants downtown. Some of our favorites for lunch or dinner are Old City Hall, Beaver's Pub, Gatsby's, Molasses, and G's Pizzeria. Tavern 101 has some great beers on tap if you're just looking for a drink. My favorite and the most important meal is obviously breakfast. Uptown Grill, Mandy's Diner, and Vinny's Stockpot are some of my favorites in the downtown area. The downtown places are easily walkable, but it may be a cold and snowy so make sure you're bundled up!
