We met in May of 2021 while working in the same restaurant and quickly became best friends. Even though Daniel was studying for the LSAT, he would still come see me or plan days out as often as possible. We ended up having the same day off, so Thursdays became our official “date” day, and we officially started dating in August of 2021. Throughout the fall and winter, we began introducing each other to our families. In the spring, we visited Louisville to look at the law school and started thinking about what our next step would be. We did not want to be apart, so we decided that it would work best for us if we both moved to Louisville together. At the beginning of July, Daniel started conspiring with my best friend Lauren behind my back to help him find a ring. Then, when he went with my family on our trip to the beach, he talked with my parents and siblings and got their thoughts about his plan for a surprise proposal. Finally, on the day of our move when we got to our new apartment in Louisville, I turned around to see him on one knee with a ring!! It was a complete surprise, and of course I said yes! We are so happy for this next chapter, and so excited to be able to share it with all of you!
