The Tide light rail train takes commuters from Fort Norfolk Station, near the historic Ghent district, to the Newtown Road Park & Ride Station at the Norfolk / Virginia Beach city line, making stops near the Chrysler Museum of Art, The MacArthur Memorial, and Harbor Park Baseball Stadium. The light rail operates daily. $2.00 for a one-way adult ticket, or $4.50 for a full day pass. You can easily pay with card or cash at the automated ticketing kiosks.

Elizabeth River Local Ferry
HRT operates three ferries on the Elizabeth River between Norfolk and Portsmouth. They travel between North Landing and High Street in Portsmouth and the Waterside District in downtown Norfolk. They’re fast, economical and offer a unique view of the river and the waterfront. Ferries operate every 30 minutes. Schedules are subject to change based on operating situations. The ferry is wheelchair accessible. $2.00 for a one-way adult ticket, or $4.50 for a full day pass. You can easily pay with a debit or credit card at the automated ticketing kiosks, or use exact cash if you are paying directly on board.
