We met almost 20 years ago through our shared love of horses. At the time due to our considerable age difference, as well as different interests, neither of us had much to do with the other. Fast forward to 2016, we reconnected and went on our first date that July. We talked about where life had taken us over the years, and after a few hours developed a friendship we never knew existed. Another six years, three dogs, two houses, and countless memories later we are engaged! Curtis surprised me at our house with a rose petal sign, twinkling lights, and a song that describes us perfectly. He got down on one knee, popped the question, and now we get to experience the rest of our lives together!
