Things To Do
Belle Isle
Belle Isle is an island in the middle of the James River downtown. The best way to get here is to park on or near Tredegar St. and take the pedestrian footbridge (Robert E. Lee Bridge). Also off of Tredegar St. is the American Civil War Museum. Across from the museum is Brown's Island where you can access the T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge and walk across the river. Lots of trails in this area!
Virginia State Capitol
They offer walk-in guided tours. Located a couple blocks from the Omni.
Hotel Greene
Indoor mini golf course and cocktail bar in part of the former John Marshall Hotel. They also offer brunch + mini golf on Saturday and Sunday. Less than a mile from the Omni Richmond Hotel.
Perly's
A Jewish restaurant & deli that has amazing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Located a mile from the Omni Richmond Hotel.
Sefton Coffee Company
A cute coffee shop that is a 10-minute walk from the Omni. They have coffee drinks and a small food menu. The Lemon Cookie Latte is Katie's favorite.
Carytown
About a half mile stretch of local boutiques, shops, restaurants, ice cream shops/bakeries, and more!
Scott's Addition Historic District
Lots of good breweries and restaurants in Scott's Addition. The Veil is our favorite brewery. Starr Hill, Vasen, and Ardent are also good and all within a couple blocks of each other. For food, we recommend Fat Dragon, Sabai, ZZQ, Eazzy Burger, Cochiloco, Lucky AF, and Lunch Supper.
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
A fantastic art museum in the Museum District neighborhood. A beautiful place to walk around or grab a drink and bite to eat from their cafe and enjoy sitting outside. Live music on Fridays in June.
Maymont
Maymont is a 100-acre park where you can walk through gardens, tour a Gilded Age mansion, go to the nature center, or check out the petting zoo and wildlife exhibits.
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Walk around and enjoy 50 acres of beautiful gardens! Voted one of the top gardens in the U.S.
Stella's
Our favorite restaurant. Great for lunch or dinner. Often mostly booked with reservations, but can still have luck walking in. Their community table is first come first serve. You can get takeout from Stella's Grocery across the street, or the Stella's Grocery on Grove Ave. has a combination of takeout and a made-to-order menu.
