The happy couple is lucky to have many friends with whom they'd love to celebrate the day, but since the event is being held at their home, space is quite limited. Throughout history, couples gathered at home, with only their families and maybe a neighbor or two. In keeping with this heritage, we'll have the ceremony at home with a small group and then open the doors to all our friends and neighbors after!
Following the nuptials, there will be a buffet for the ceremony's participants. Once the celebration gets going, we'll have munchies and a late night pizza party to fuel the dancin' and the pickin'.
We're honestly just happy to be spending the day with you, so please do not feel obligated to give us a gift. The best thing you can do for us is to share the love and be excellent to each other! If you would like to give a gift, please feel free to use the suggestions below to regift, shop second hand, find a good bargain, or get creative. Some links have been provided for suggestions but are not meant to be binding. If you find something that we've suggested at the Goodwill or in your closet, you can let us know and we'll remove it from the registry to prevent overlap. Feel free to ask if you have any questions or need further direction. sokindregistry.org/registry/katieandcorty zola.com/registry/katieandcorty
Just be yourself and be comfortable! It's October and we'll be outside, so we suggest light layers! But if it's chilly, don't worry, we'll have a fire. If it's rainy, we'll move the shindig inside.
Katie and Corty will each keep the same names they were given over 30 years ago! The bride was asked by her child-sized friends, "Why aren't you changing your name?" Katie replied, "Well, who am I?" "You're Katie Martin!" To which she replied, "Exactly!"
