A word from our tour guide Andrew Rooney : Hi, my name is Andrew Rooney – I am a native Dubliner and I had worked as a tour guide for 6 years before setting up Dublin Whiskey Tours in 2016. I spent most of 2015 researching the best bars and whiskeys in Dublin – which happily involved lots of whiskey tasting. Then I hired some of the best whiskey guides in Dublin to help me spread the word. April 2016 we held our first tour in The Dingle Whiskey Bar, Bowes Lounge and The Palace Bar. We have strived ever since to give visitors to Dublin an experience that we have always loved – enjoying Irish whiskeys in great bars. We still work with the best and will continue to keep the quality high & the whiskey flowing hopefully for many more years to come. https://dublinwhiskeytours.com/

The tour is packed with humour, anecdote and information about Joyce, Beckett, Shaw, Yeats, Heaney, Wilde, but not forgetting the ‘moderns’ like Paula Meehan, Eavan Boland and Brendan Kennelly. While there will be plenty of pints and Irish spirit to fill the night, we simply could not resist the urge to task the Trivia Queen herself, Chrissy Maron with developing the ultimate Trivia Night in one of Dublin's most famous bars. Chrissy will test your knowledge of the bride, groom, and our host country of Ireland. Competitive spirits are encouraged as there WILL be prizes for the winning team! O'Donoghue's Pub, located on Merrion Row in Dublin, is one of Ireland's most iconic pubs, renowned for its deep connection to traditional Irish music. Established in the 18th century, it originally operated as a grocery and shebeen (an unlicensed drinking establishment) before evolving into a full-fledged pub.
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Cocktail Attire, the bride and groom will be looking snazzy, feel free to dress up as well!
There will be a few light bites and pints to go around. We're excited to share that Sierra Evans and Rob Werkowski will be hosting an open mic or "The Blarney Mic" as we'll call it. We welcome our friends and family who have traveled far and wide to take the mic for a few moments and share a toast. This can be a favorite memory with us, words of advice, or a hilarious story that simply must be shared with the room. There will be a sign-up sheet at the event. Feel free to write up your toast beforehand or be inspired by the Irish spirits within (pun intended)!

We chose Luttrellstown Castle for its stunning grounds and interiors and loved its rich history. A little bit about the castle: Luttrellstown takes its name from the Luttrell family, who held the estate for more than 300 years until, 1811. The exact age of the castle is unknown, as it is almost impossible to separate the present structure from the earlier stronghold around which the famous Gothic façade is built. However, there is evidence to show that Sir Henry Luttrell seized the estate in 1436, during the reign of King Henry VI. Under the ownership of a member of the world-famous Guinness family, the final phase of the castle’s development took place between the 1910s and 1950s. It became a party spot for royalty and celebrities during that time.
