We decided to take a spontaneous day trip to Galena, IL with Mikayla and Kyle to explore a new town and new places. It was one of the most beautiful Fall days - sunny and 75. We started out with lunch and walking up and down main street while checking out a few shops. Our last stop was Galena Cellars Vineyard & Winery because Mikayla and I would never pass up a new winery. We did a wine tasting and walked through the vineyard while live music was playing. Naturally, I was in awe of the scenery there and took many photos of the vineyard and the outlook to the rolling meadows. While I was taking photos I turned around to find Cody on one knee asking me to marry him. It was so surreal and the last thing I expected. I was so surprised! It was absolutely perfect - the day, the people and the proposal. Galena, IL has now become one of our favorite places. ♥️
