FAQs

The Wedding Website of Katherine Peters and Christian Oliverio
Question

When should I RSVP by and how?

Answer

Please RSVP by February 2nd, 2026. You can RSVP through this website (see navigation bar above).

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress code is semi-formal. Gentlemen, wear a classy suit and tie with polished shoes. Ladies, please wear a tea or ankle length dress. Shoulders, cleavage, and knees should be covered. The ceremony will be at a Church, so dress modestly.

Question

What about transportation?

Answer

Guests will have to provide themselves with transportation. If you are coming from out of town, we recommend renting a car since there is not a very strong public transportation system in DFW. Texas highways are large and fast; typical highway speeds are over 70 MPH. Please drive with caution and diligence on the highways.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 2 P.M., but arrive at least twenty minutes early so you can get settled before it's time for us to walk down the aisle.

Question

What kind of ceremony is it?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be in the Traditional Rite of Marriage, immediately followed by a Solemn High Mass. The nuptial ceremony will be about fifteen minutes, and the Mass will be around an hour and fifteen minutes, and in Latin. The church has translation booklets available if you would like to follow along. Please note: in the Traditional Rite, it is common for the wedding couple to be the only recipients of communion. The reasons are partly historical, traditional, and situational. Given that a large number of invited/attending guests are not Catholic, we have decided to stick with this tradition to avoid embarrassing any guests. We recommend contacting an FSSP priest if you have questions. There will be ample incense during the Mass, which for some may be an irritant. If you have asthma, please bring your inhaler. We understand that some of your children may have trouble sitting through the lengthy ceremony. There is a place at the Church where you can take your children or babies if they are crying or need a break.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are hiring a photographer for pictures, so please keep your phones off during the ceremony and the Mass. Photos at the reception are encouraged! We would love for you to share them with us after the wedding.
