The Wedding Website of Katie Theel and Chris Tennant
To make your trip as easy as possible, we've put together flight information, lodging suggestions, and ideas for some fun things to do in both Lake Arrowhead and Los Angeles! PLEASE BE AWARE that because our wedding is on a holiday weekend, it is best to get flights and accommodations far in advance. Keep reading for all the information you need to make your travel choices!

Travel Note

Wedding Day Transportation Survey

Please complete this survey to let us know whether you require transportation between your lodging and the wedding venue.

Flight

Flying into Ontario, CA

The closest to our wedding location! The Ontario, CA airport is located about 50 minutes from Lake Arrowhead, and flying here allows you to bypass LA traffic. Rental cars are available at the airport and are very reasonably priced. If you're flying here, consider coordinating with other friends or family to get a car together.

Flight

Flying into Los Angeles

If you want to do some sightseeing in LA before or after the wedding, you can fly into either LAX or Bob Hope (Burbank). LAX will likely have less expensive flights, but Burbank is a much less hectic airport (if you're one of our Wisconsin guests, think of it as flying into O'Hare vs. Mitchell). Rental cars are available at both airports, and it's about a 2 hour drive out to Lake Arrowhead. If you have friends living in LA who will be attending our wedding, considering flying into LA and carpooling!

Travel Note

Driving Information

Please note that Lake Arrowhead is a mountain town, and the last 30 minutes or so of the drive is on windy (and beautiful!) mountain roads. If you aren't comfortable with mountain driving, we strongly recommend that you plan to arrive before dark. If you're visiting from out of town, be sure to stop at some turnouts along the way and take in the views!

Hotel

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa

27984 California 189
Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352

This hotel has lots of great amenities, including a pool, hot tub, spa, game room, and beach access! It is also our top recommendation for guests with impaired mobility.

Hotel

Saddleback Inn

300 California 173
Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352

The Saddleback has standard hotel rooms in the main building, and townhouse-style suites perched around it in smaller, individual buildings. The suites are great for families, but if you have any mobility concerns we recommend the main building (but be aware that guest rooms in the main building are upstairs).

Hotel

Airbnb

Lake Arrowhead is a resort town, so there are an abundance of Airbnbs of all sizes and prices. Click "View" below to get started with the list we've made here, or search for your own. We recommend booking as close to Miller's Landing as you can. This is a great option for larger families or groups of friends. If you have any mobility concerns, use Airbnb's accessibility filters and check the listing for stairs or other possible difficulties. You can always message the host with any questions before booking!

Things to do in Los Angeles

If you're stopping by LA, you can click "View" to see our map of places to explore to experience the city like a local!

Travel Note

Things to do in Lake Arrowhead

We'll have a weekend of fun, but if you're looking for other suggestions for how to spend your down time, check out our list! Memorial Day weekend marks the start of Lake Arrowhead's summer concert series featuring live music in Lake Arrowhead Village on Friday and Saturday nights. If you want to get outside, there's tons of hiking in the area. To walk around the lake itself you'll need an "ALA resident permit", but most accommodations should provide one for you to use during your stay.
