Ahh the story behind the lovebirds. I’m sure everyone is wanting to know the details. It was the first day of middle school at Drakes Creek, I remember that I spent forever trying to pick out the cutest outfit. That morning I walked into the cafeteria panicking to quickly find a seat and Chad watched me walk all the way to my seat. I assumed that it was because we ended up wearing the same exact band tee-shirt but later found out he was mesmerized by my beauty (; I was obviously captured by his handsome looks. Chad and I ended up having the same science class together. Mrs. Perkins asked me who I wanted to sit beside since I made a good grade on my test and I responded with, “Chad Whitely” I was hoping that us sitting together would get him to open up and stop being so shy. Well boy was I wrong, he wouldn’t even make eye contact with me but even sitting in his silence felt like home. Everything felt so easy and natural when I was with him. Imagine meeting someone who even understood the dustiest corners of your mixed-up soul and still saw beauty in you. There was zero judgment and I could be myself, as could he. Our eyes met and our souls caught fire. Over the next few months our friend groups ended up intertwining and we ended up getting closer. Chad and a few friends were over at my house hanging out and my mom walked up to him and says, “You’re going to marry my daughter one day.” I was blown away by how blunt she was but little did I know at 14y/o this skinny little kid was my soulmate. Chad and I ended up going our own ways, getting more friends and doing our own things but it never failed and it never mattered how much time passed us we always ended up finding our way back to each other. Chad has always been my best friend and always been the person my heart led me back to. Here we are 16 years later and we finally got our timing right. Our love for each other grows stronger and stronger every single day and we are finally about to be husband and wife. If it’s meant to be, it will.
