The Domain has all kinds of shops and restaurants. It is one of the most popular nightlife hubs in Austin. From coffee shops to nightclubs, the Domain has something to do all day or all night. Our favorite restaurants are Jinya (casual ramen), Ema (romantic Mediterranean), Yardhouse (American beer-centric), and Sixty Vines (upscale wine bar). There are also many fun experiences in the area, like a VR gaming room, the Museum of Illusions, and Punch Bowl Social. South Congress has vintage/thrift stores, boutiques, and luxury shopping for those who are looking for those trendy Austin vibes. This area is what most people think of when visiting Austin. Plus, there are some iconic photo spots around here!
Lockhart is known as the Barbecue Capital of Texas but the downtown area has plenty of other options and is very charming! Black's Barbecue has been the classic spot in the area since the early 1900s and is amazing! People line up for the brisket, ribs, and their classic southern barbecue sides. Chisolm Trail BBQ is another great barbecue spot that the locals love. Downtown Lockhart is only 15 minutes from the venue. MarketStreet Cafe is a great brunch spot, but also great for every meal with many options, live music, and outdoor seating. There are lots of shops with music, artisan goods, and even a few cute book stores. One shop in particular, The Culinary Room, has AMAZING banana pudding and Amy's Ice Cream (one of Katie's favorite ice cream stores). Nightlife in Lockhart even includes a nearly hidden bar called The Case Room that gives serious speakeasy vibes.
