At the beginning of Katie’s sophomore year and Cale’s senior year, the two meet at Homecoming for Winthrop University. This is where Cale played baseball and Katie played soccer. As it was just before Thanksgiving break they just exchanged numbers and then headed home to see our families. The two couldn’t stop talking over breaking and knew that this one could be special. Cale stated when he was out with the boys “this is the last weekend I will be single” and Katie told her best friend Taylor that there was something special about Cale that she has never felt before. After talking all break the two planned on going on a date when they arrived back at Winthrop. Little did Katie know that Cale was going to bail the whole time due to being so nervous. Well he did and they spent the whole night getting ready for the week ahead but Cale promised that they would go on a date the next day. Being the gentleman Cale is he let Katie pick where they are going and she choose Millstone Pizza. Fun fact Cale hates pizza and didn’t want to tell Katie as this is their first date. From the first date, the two were inseparable. Cale was so in love with how much Katie loved sports and Katie couldn’t get over how funny he was. Here they are now with three dogs living in Georgia, planning the wedding of their dreams and ready to start a life together as one.

Cale is honestly one of the most kind-hearted and loving person I have ever met. He loves me like no one ever has and makes me feel like the most special girl in the world. The way that he is patient when I am stressing about anything in the world or his kind words of encouragement at just the right moment. He is the most hardworking and driven person I have met and always strives for the best for both me and him. He also has the best jokes and always knows how to make me laugh. I love to watch him be the best dog dad in the world to our three pups. I can’t wait to be your wife Cale. Here’s to a lifetime of memories and laughs!

When Katie and I first met I immediately fell in love with her knowledge of sports but as I’ve got to know her even better over these 3 perfect years, I wouldn’t even put that in the top ten of her amazing qualities. She is the most loving, caring, reassuring, and thoughtful person I have ever met. I know she will be a perfect wife and mother one day and I can’t wait to be right by her side for all of it!
