Twickenham House has room accommodations for each guest and rooms will be assigned to you prior to arrival. Twickenham will bill each guest directly prior to the event.
While many rooms do have private bathrooms, some guests will use shared bathrooms during our stay. In most cases, you shouldn't be sharing a bathroom with more than 4-6 people. We will have housekeeping on Friday and Saturday that will be cleaning all shared bathrooms in addition to other shared spaces.
While we are providing the majority of the food and alcohol for the weekend as outlined in the schedule of events, you are permitted and encouraged to bring any additional items you may need.
There is a full kitchen in the main house and guest house that will be shared with all guests. If you do need to store or refrigerate your own items, we'd recommend bringing your own cooler or have the items very clearly labeled. Please note that most of the refrigerator space will be reserved for food prep for the weekend.
The town of West Jefferson has a small grocery store, butcher, and an ABC liquor store. Carolina Country Wines has a pretty decent wine and craft beer selection and there is a Walmart Supercenter 17 miles from the house.

Of course! But we don't really think you'll want to because the house and its surroundings are so beautiful. West Jefferson is about a 15 minute drive from the house and is a cute mountain town that in non-covid times would certainly be worth exploring.
It should be pretty nice! The average high should be about 75 degrees but lows could get into the 50's. Dress for summer weather but definitely bring a jacket or sweater. We'd also recommend packing an umbrella in case of rain.
We realize that this may be the first time that many of us will be around 40 people, especially for an entire weekend, since covid started. Our hope is that the vaccine will be available to all of our guests at that point. However, if that is not the case, we ask that all of our guests be mindful and responsible in the two weeks leading up to our weekend. We will be getting tested the weekend prior and would ask everyone to do the same.
