Question

Let's talk about accommodations.

Answer

We have taken care of accommodation for everyone for the nights of July 13th, 14th, and 15th. Check in is at 3PM, and check out is at noon. If you would like to extend your trip then please reach out to the hotel. If you intend to extend your trip, you'll need to set up your own transportation to Cancun Airport. Please note: while children ARE allowed (and welcome!) July 13-15th, Habitas is an adults only property other times of the year.

Question

What's the dealio with food and bevvies?

Answer

It's a party! We will have a group breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily for everyone to enjoy. Please refer to the Schedule Page to know when and where the meals will be. For those wanting options outside of the group meals and the curated drink menu, you are able to order those at your own expense. :)

Question

Did someone say fun activities?!

Answer

Yassss! All activities are optional. Habitas will be offering yoga and meditation classes on Friday and Saturday. Other activities include paddleboarding (Bryan & Katie's favorite), kayaking, snorkeling, and leisurely splashing (Skipper's favorite). Extras: The hotel has an amazing spa. Please, feel free to book your own spa experience at your own expense. We highly recommend it!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

First priority - be comfortable! According to google, highs temps are projected to be approximately 92 degrees, with lows hitting 76 degrees. It's probably not a bad idea to bring a rain jacket. Don't forget a hat to block the sun! On Thursday night, we are dressing casual for the Welcome Party. Wear casual beach wear on Friday and Saturday (daytime). If you are wanting to participate in the optional wellness activities (yoga, pilates), bring some athletic outfits. There is no gym at Habitas, but the property does have dumbbells and resistance bands as well as an outdoor area to go jogging. Don't forget your swimsuits + coverups + floaties! On Friday night (rehearsal dinner) and Saturday night (wedding), we are wearing "Resort Attire" or elevated beach wear. Think flowy sundresses, florals/ linen, khakis, short sleeved button ups, etc. Our wedding color is blue to match the lagoon, so if you wan't to wear something blue, that would be cool - but you absolutely do not have to! We aren't rules people, so wear what you want.

Question

Give me more info about shuttles.

Answer

Once we gather RSVPs, we will send out a google form to collect everyone's flight arrival and departure times. Then we'll tailor the shuttle service to everyone's flight schedules, making sure to leave time for everyone to make it through customs. Shuttles are free and will be running on Thursday and Sunday. We are planning to stock the shuttles with snacks and drinks. The drive to/ from Bacalar will take approximately 4 hours.

Question

What are the rooms like?

Answer

Each A-frame hut has a king bed, bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower, and refrigerator. Families traveling with children will receive floor beds for each child.

Question

Should I wear mineral sunscreen to protect the lagoon's marine wildlife and underwater plant population?

Answer

Yes, great idea!
