You can bike along the river: https://www.niceridemn.com/rides/ride-the-river Or perhaps around the Minneapolis chain of lakes: https://www.minneapolis.org/things-to-do/nature-outdoors/biking/ Let us know what you do or if you have questions! There are a lot of great breweries in Northeast Minneapolis- near the wedding venue. We can't even begin to list them all, but we'll list a few favorites. There are often food trucks around!
Off the beaten track latin-influenced craft brewery. You may be able to watch some 3x3 futbol while you have a drink. Royal Foundry Craft Spirits is right next door.
European Style Lagers and Ales For a fun day, explore Theodore Wirth Regional Park ( the Eloise Butler Wildflower & Bird Sanctuary is great in May) and then go to Utepils for a beer.
Do you have a hankering for feather bowling? Big patio outside
Do you love wildflowers & birding? This place is for you!
Do you love funky, spunky, or sour ales? We do!
Do you like a side of pickle ball with your cider?
A great food hall with lots of options!
Huge brewery + restaurant with tons of outdoor space as well
A delicious opportunity to support indigenous food, culture & businesses. Reservations recommended
Delicious Argentinian inspired pizzas & empanadas. We love the Peras & Campo pizzas & the churros!
A great food hall located downtown. Our favorites are Soul Bowl & Union Hmong Kitchen.
Flour milling played a big role in the industrialization in Minneapolis. Pillsbury & General Mills have their roots here on the riverfront. A great museum for the history of this area and about flour!
Great place for kids!
A fun place to walk around and explore with (or without!) kids
Come here to try a famous Juicy Lucy! (Just a few blocks away from Katie & Brian's house) Or, try the juicy Lucy at the 5-8 club (they both claim to have invented it): https://www.5-8club.com/our-famous-juicy-lucy
Good vegan food
Like a bike rental, but for kayaks! You can paddle the river & explore the city from the water
You can explore the river on a great walk- the stone arch bridge, to Saint Anthony-Main, Nicollet Island & Boom Island. https://fmr.org/specialplaces/2018/03/central-minneapolis-riverfront
A museum exploring the history and science of electricity & electromagnetism- which played a big role in Minnesota's involvement in medical device engineering. It may sound dry, but it's a great museum for all ages.
Have you heard of it? We hear that lots of kids love Legoland.
A pretty area to go on a walk, see the waterfall and explore. There's a little outdoor/take out restaurant, Tin Fish, which has good food. If you miss your dog you can go to the Minnehaha Dog Park near by-- (Katie, Brian & Coda are high users).
Check out a Saint Paul Saints game? Team owned by Bill Murray (and others) https://www.milb.com/st-paul/schedule/2022-05
