We are holding a rehearsal dinner for immediate family and wedding party members at POST in South Hamilton. Following dinner (8:45/9pm or so), we welcome any and all guests to swing by for a drink and a hug! POST is located at 16 Bay Road, South Hamilton, MA 01982

Question

How early can I check-in to my hotel on Friday?

Answer

Guests for our wedding should be able to check-in to the hotels at 3pm (normal check-in is 4pm). If you would like to arrive earlier, please call the hotel front desk while enroute and they will do their best to have a room available for you: Doubletree (978) 777-2500 Best Western (978) 777-1700 At the Doubletree, there is also a locker room facility at the Atlantis club in which guests can shower and change if rooms are not yet available.

Question

What time will the wedding be?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be at 4:30pm, cocktail hour and reception to follow, with everything ending at 10pm. Please plan accordingly for traffic, as it will likely take more than an hour to get to the venue from the city. Don't forget to put that time off request in! Let's kick off the weekend in style!

Question

Is the ceremony and the reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will take place on the side lawn, cocktail hour on the front lawn, and the reception in the barn.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, check out the "Travel" section for more information.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the venue?

Answer

We have hired a big yellow school bus to transport guests from the hotels to the venue and back! The schedule is as follows: Pickup at Best Western - 3:45pm Pickup at Doubletree - 4:00pm First Return Trip to Hotels - 9:15pm Final Return Trip to Hotels - 10:00pm

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is parking for approximately 50 cars at the venue. Venue staff will direct you. Please do not drink and drive!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love all of your kids (seriously!), but if we were to invite them all, there would be over 40 kids at the wedding! Please leave your kiddos with a sitter and give yourselves a fun night out.

Question

What should i wear to the wedding?

Answer

Evening cocktail attire - look nice, but be comfortable. Spring dresses, jackets and slacks. Suits optional. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the grass lawns, so plan your footwear accordingly! If it is helpful to know, our theme is a lowkey woodland fairytale vibe, our colors are blues and purples, but you in no way need to match this - you do you!

Question

Will Ginger be at the wedding?

Answer

Definitely, maybe, yes, probably.

Question

What is the food and drink situation?

Answer

During cocktail hour, guests can enjoy a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres. Following this, there will be a seated dinner featuring a bread and salad course, followed by a plated entree. Once dinner service concludes, a dessert/coffee/tea station will be available for all guests. For beverages, we are offering a selection of beer, wine, spirits, and sodas, along with two signature mocktails that can be customized with spirits, if desired. The bar will operate as an open bar until reaching its limit, at which point it will become a cash bar. Please note that the bar will close at 9:30pm to comply with state regulations.

Question

Is there an afterparty?

Answer

We are no longer party all night types, so there is no formal afterparty. Check with your family and friends, there are bound to be informal gatherings with this crew!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We have a group breakfast booked for Saturday, June 1 from 9am-11am at the Doubletree Hotel Boston North Shore, 50 Ferncroft Road, Danvers, MA 01923. Guests will utilize the restaurant buffet and eat with our group in the nearby Tradewinds Lounge. Bacon, anyone?

Question

Are you going on a honeymoon? If so, when?

Answer

Yes! We are getting married at the end of May on purpose, so we can enjoy the short New England summer. Our plan is to skip two weeks of New England winter and spend them in Hawaii in early 2025. We are also doing a mini-honeymoon to Disney from June 2nd - June 5th!
