Question

Please read:

Answer

The most important thing to us is to celebrate with our friends and family, safely. Please note that this is a rural area and there will not be Ubers/Lyfts/ride share apps. We will do our best to book shuttles that will accommodate where you are staying, but they will not be able to go to every location if you are staying in an Air Bnb or similar lodging. Please plan to have a designated driver in your group if you intend to consume alcohol and do not want to utilize the shuttle.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black tie optional (and we mean optional!!). Katie loves a fancy wedding and an opportunity to get dressed up, but we by no means expect everyone to similarly enjoy it. Groomsmen and family will be in black tuxedos (without tails). Bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom will be in floor length gowns. Male guests are invited to wear a tuxedo, suit, button down, or anything they feel comfortable in. Female guests are invited to wear a formal gown, dress, pants suit, or anything they feel comfortable in.

Question

Are plus ones and kids allowed at the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We have decided not to have any kids at the ceremony or reception. We love your kids but we want to spend the evening celebrating - with you! Plus ones will be specifically indicated on your invitation. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Question

When are photos/videos okay?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from taking photos and videos on your phones while the ceremony is ongoing. We have hired a professional photographer and want to be able to be in the moment without the distraction of devices. Outside of that time frame, take as many photos and videos as you wish!

Question

Is the ceremony indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The plan is for the ceremony to be outdoor - weather permitting. We do have a "plan b" to have the ceremony indoors. There will not be any grass or soil that you need to walk on - there is a paved pathway between the ceremony and reception area.

Question

What is the accessibility of the venue like?

Answer

There are no steps and the paved pathway between the outdoor ceremony space to the indoor reception hall will accommodate walkers, wheelchairs, and canes, if needed.

Question

Where will be the wedding take place? Will everything happen at the same venue?

Answer

The wedding will take place at The Venue at Sharp Mountain in Jasper, GA. The address is 350 Mountain Venue Pass, Jasper, GA 30143. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all occur at the venue without any travel.

Question

What will the food and beverage be like?

Answer

There will be a catered dinner that will have a vegetarian option but may not be able to accommodate additional allergies or restrictions. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions and have questions, please reach out to either of us as soon as possible. There will be an open bar with a mix of available beer, wine, and cocktails. The bar company does not allow any drinks to be consumed as shots. They will dispense a maximum two drinks per person per visit to the bar (but no limit to number of drinks in the evening).

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly request that you do your best to RSVP by September 15, 2025

For all the days along the way
