We recommend booking a shuttle in advance and have negotiated a discounted, flat per/trip rate. Ride share apps are not recommended and may not be available. To book travel directly through our vendor, please email Arturo at trans5senses@gmail.com (website http://www.trans5senses.com/en) and reference Tershel/Geyer Wedding in the subject line. If you would like to share a ride with other wedding guests, please email Liz Tershel (liztershel@gmail.com) with your flight #, airline, number of passengers, and arrival time by Friday, 5/17. We will do our best to arrange group travel by arrival time.
USD and credit cards are accepted in most places. We advise notifying your credit card of your travel plans. If you prefer to pay in pesos, money can be exchanged in advance at most banks or at the airport for a fee.
Cancun is hot in June so we recommend lots of cool and comfortable clothing. The wedding is classy beach attire (no jeans or shorts please) and all ancillary wedding events are dressy casual. There is a golf course, tennis courts, and walking trails in Mayakoba so you may also want to bring tennis shoes. Be sure to pack sunscreen! Once you arrive in Cancun, you may want to pick up alcohol or snacks for the room. Duty free is available at the Cancun airport. Bottled and filtered water is widely available at the resort.
WiFi is readily available throughout both resorts. WhatsApp and iMessage are the easiest way to communicate once at the resort. Most cell providers also offer an international day pass for $10/day should you need to make international calls.
