The power couple of the century met on the first day of law school. Katie was introduced to Aaron by a friend from his hometown who just so happened to befriend Katie at the new students breakfast. All of the eager 1Ls were squeezed into a dark amphitheatre and Katie and Aaron took seats next to each other. As would happen regularly for the next five years, before Aaron knew it, Katie was cuddled up on his shoulder fast asleep. As luck would have it, Aaron and Katie had every class together during the first year of law school. They became study buddies, and spent every day, night, and weekend in the library together. After a few months of studying together, they began spending time together outside of school. Aaron attempted to teach Katie how to golf, and Katie invited Aaron on walks with her dog. Before long, golf lessons and dog walks turned into dinner dates, and the two became inseparable. As their legal knowledge grew so did their love. Aaron and Katie remained steadfast study buddies, and on the weekends they explored their shared interests. Aaron introduced her to weird food and good booze, and Katie shared her love of travel with him. From art galleries to museums, from wine cellars to the world's finest restaurants, the two have never stopped seeking out new experiences together. Finally, on Christmas Eve 2022, Aaron dropped to one knee and pulled out a ring on the tip of Pier 6 on the East River in their beloved neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights. He fumbled through a cheesy speech, heart pounding, and (thank God) Katie said yes! Today, you can find Aaron and Katie in the Big Apple, working hard and playing hard, and planning their next adventure. The two are rarely apart and are always followed closely by their dogs Lady and Frank.
