Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company

A longtime favorite of Jeremiah's family. This small restaurant has been in business forever, thriving off its unique (and uniquely delicious) style of pizza, as well as its wildly popular appetizer - the Mediterranean bread. Note that this establishment does not take reservations, and is cash only.

Amazing cocktails in a speakeasy-esq environment. The Violet Hour is a great sample of Chicago mixology.

A small joint run by extremely friendly folks. It's not a huge food and drink menu, but it's a blast. Try the oyster shooter!

The space formerly occupied by Headquarters (our favorite barcade), Replay boasts the same excellent pairing of vintage video game fun with a drink menu geared towards lovers of beer and bourbon.

A modern-day Chicago speakeasy with a great selection of drinks! Some days they even have live burlesque!

Duck Duck Goat

An amazing Chinese restaurant brought to you by the acclaimed Stephanie Izard, this gem in Chicago's Fulton Market neighborhood is more accessible in terms of price and being able to get a table. Still, if this is an appealing option to you, call and try and make reservations as soon as you can. It is worth it!

Chicago Athletic Association

A very interesting location that now boasts excellent quality cocktails (see their Milk Room).

Smylie Brothers Brewing Co.

Delicious foods and suds brewed on the premises! Their poutine is excellent, though honestly we haven't had a bad meal at Smylie's to date.

Quite possibly the best cocktails in Evanston.

Fan of amazing pie? Then this place is for you. They also have some amazing savory eats as well - you can't go wrong with Hoosier Mama!

One of Katie's all-time favorite brunch locations. Whether it's a stack of sourdough chocolate chip pancakes or their Cajun scramble, this restaurant is a sure thing.
