Question

Where should we stay in Vail?

Answer

Check out the Travel Page to see a list of hotels in Vail Village that are within walking distance to both our venue as well as other activities and attractions in Vail! You are are welcome to get an Airbnb or stay at any hotel of your choosing. We suggest staying in/close to Vail Village or Lions Head Village so that you have access to the Vail shuttle, and are close to all wedding events!

Question

How can I prepare for the altitude?

Answer

Altitude sickness can be a real thing if you don’t prepare! We suggest a few things in order to adjust to that mountain air! 1. HYDRATE! Drink lots of water the days leading up the trip and while traveling. 2. Limit alcohol for the first 24 hours in high altitudes. 3. If possible, plan to arrive a few days before the wedding (see above 😂) in order to give your body time to adjust before the big party :) 4. Get lots of rest and take OTC pain relievers to help with any headaches.

Question

What is there to do in Vail in August?

Answer

Summer time is amazing in Colorado! While there’s obviously no ⛷🎿 there are plenty of activities to participate in while you explore the Colorado Rockies! We personally love hiking and there are many great trails for all levels right on Vail mountain that are all accessible from Vail Village and Lions Head. Other summer fun activities to enjoy: Mountain biking 🚵 Skeet shooting 🔫 Archery🏹 🎯 Whitewater rafting 🛶 Zip lining 🧗 Take an ATV trip 🛺 Golfing 🏌️ Fishing 🎣 Mountain top yoga 🧘🏼‍♀️ Many of the hotels also have pools and a spa🧖‍♀️ for those of you looking to relax!

Question

What should I pack for my trip? What are some of the weekend events?

Answer

LAYERS! The saying goes: “if you don’t like the weather in Colorado.. wait 20 minutes!” The weather/temperature in the mountains can change drastically throughout the day/week so we suggest bringing a jacket and dressing in layers to avoid being too hot or cold. 🧥☔️ 🏔 ☀️ 🥾 Here are some of our outfit suggestions for the weekend: Sunday Morning “top of the mountain hike”- light jacket, shorts or workout pants, hiking sneakers or boots, and a hat Welcome Party- cocktail party attire, short dress or jumpsuit for women/dress pants, dress shirt and a jacket for men. Wedding- we will have heaters if the temperature drops but we suggest bringing a jacket or shawl for the evening!
