Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms

Mining and gems from Colorado Exhibition, Mummy Exhibition and Health Exhibition are all fun exhibitions.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

Parking for the Matthew/ Winter Park Jefferson County Park. See the beautiful red rocks on fun trails to hike or bike.

Red Rocks Hikes and Bike Rides

This is a pretty steep walk or bike ride to see the site of where fossils were found. Fossils are now located in the Morrison Natural History Museum. There is also a guided bus tour. Please see their website for more information.

Dinosaur Ridge Main Visitor Center

Mary Jane(Winter Park), Copper, Breckenridge and Arapaho Basin are all usually open this time of year.

Skiing

If you want to explore further into the mountains, there is a beautiful view of the Mount Evans Wilderness, and also a picnic area.

This is an 80 acre zoo with 2500+ animals acting as ambassadors for their wildlife counterparts.

Denver Zoo
