FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! If your child was not included in your rsvp selection, please email Elaine Scott @ elainekscott@icloud.com and we will add your child to the guest count.

Question

Is transportation provided to and from the hotels?

Answer

We are not providing transportation. Please use your taxi of choice. If you drive, car parking will be validated.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest", then yes. If not and you are traveling with a guest, please email Elaine Scott @ elainekscott@icloud.com. Adding a guest is dependent on our maximum guest count allowed.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire, but please wear what is comfortable for you. The wedding ceremony is in the shady outdoors and the reception is indoors.

Question

Is a special event planned for those visiting Kiawah for a day?

Answer

Guest are visiting at their own leisure any time Friday-Sunday. In addition to a car guest pass, you'll receive a quick reference guide listing places to park, bike rental locations, and restaurants. If you visit anyone staying on the island, please coordinate prior so they know you're coming.

Question

Can I make a last minute decision to visit Kiawah Island?

Answer

No, Kiawah is a private island and access requires a car pass. If you booked a reservation on Kiawah, a pass is already provided. However, if you are staying in Charleston and would like to visit, you will need a car pass.

Question

When do I need to decide if I want to visit Kiawah Island for a day?

Answer

Please try to decide by May 15th. Elaine and Jerry will issue guest passes for those who have responded, but as the wedding approaches, any last minute requests will be difficult to process (we will be busy).
