FAQs

We understand how overwhelming it can be to try to plan a trip to a "destination" wedding and want to make this as easy as possible. Please let us know if we can answer any questions! Call or text anytime 210-216-3827
Question

Why December?

Answer

We are both in Master's programs for nurse practitioner and our winter break is the only stretch we both will have off. Hello, snowy wedding!

Question

When should we RSVP?

Answer

ASAP so we can let the hotel know as far as food/drinks

Question

Is it an open bar?

Answer

YASSSS

Question

Why Colorado?

Answer

Originally we were wanting to elope in a different country (Ireland, Germany, etc) but thanks to COVID that is no longer an option. Colorado was the next best option (and so much closer!)

Question

Will the ceremony/reception be held inside or outside?

Answer

A short ceremony will be held outside and the reception inside. We will try not to torture ya'll for too long outside, we promise.

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

Ladies should wear cocktail dress attire and men should wear suit and tie or sports coat. No jeans, please! Remember- it will be December in Colorado, we suggest bringing a (warm) coat. Ladies, if wearing a long dress you can always wear nude leggings underneath for warmth, if not we will not be outside very long. The ceremony will be held outside followed by the reception just steps away where you can warm up with food and drinks.

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

If you are not staying the night at the hotel, we suggest uber or lyft from your hotel/airbnb. Roads will more than likely be icy (Texans barely know how to drive in the rain- do NOT try to drink and drive). Regardless, please be safe.

Question

What about COVID-19?

Answer

As we all adapt to an uncertain time with COVID-19 (coronavirus), we are monitoring the news carefully. We are prepared to take every precaution necessary to make our wedding safe for our guests. At this time, we have been advised that a March 2021 wedding should be safe. Please RSVP and book your accommodations as you normally would, but check first for a lenient cancellation policy, which most hotels and airlines are happy to provide in light of current events. That being said, the safety of our guests is our utmost priority. Please check our website and national and local public health websites regularly for updates. Please contact us directly with any questions. Thank you for your love, patience, and concern.
