Katie and Chris met in a classic way—over drinks at a German restaurant in Sanford, Florida, the summer after Katie moved there. Fast forward a year, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic brought to light the importance of certain people in our lives, and it wasn’t long before the universe intervened and brought them together. A night out with friends in Sanford turned into a solo trip to the waterfront, marking the beginning of their love story. Over the past five years, their journey together has been an incredible adventure filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. They’ve traveled whenever possible, welcomed their furry companion into their lives, and both of them have made significant career progress. They’re thrilled to embark on this new chapter as husband and wife!
Accompanied by his grandma and mother, Chris had a memorable day exploring the Neuschwanstein castle. On October 10, 2024, he took Katie to the highest mountain in Germany, Zugspite, to propose. The mountain was covered in snow when Chris asked Katie to marry him. Fun fact: Chris had carried the engagement ring with him to four different countries before he finally proposed to Katie.
Chris and Katie have decided to have a wedding in Germany to celebrate with their closest family members. They visit Schwäbisch Hall annually and adore the surrounding area. They are thrilled to share Chris’s hometown with all their guests. For those who may not be aware, Chris was born and raised in Germany until he moved to the USA at the age of 8. He holds dual citizenship. Katie, on the other hand, was born and raised in New York, and they both reside in Florida together. It would mean the world to the couple if you could travel to celebrate with them ❤️
