We have sadly made the decision to cancel the wedding due to coronavirus. We are sorry to miss celebrating with our friends and family, but excited to still get married that day and celebrate our 10th anniversary. We met back in 2009, our freshman year of high school when Katie began at a new school and met Paul and his group of friends. We shared a few classes together, and got to know each other more after working together on group projects. We also spent numerous Friday nights going to the local ice rink’s DJ skate with a group of friends, who all happened to be dating each other. Week after week we spent Friday nights hanging out the two of us as friends, and Paul was charming and goofy and just great to be around. All of this eventually led to Katie asking Paul out in May (spoiler alert: he said yes) and we began dating...on May 17, 2010. Since then, we both graduated high school and headed off in opposite directions to attend college - thus beginning a 4 year long-distance relationship with us both going abroad, spending summers in different states due to summer classes and school projects, and traveling as much as we could to see one another. After we graduated from our colleges (and managed to both attend the other’s graduation, thankfully not on the same weekend), Katie was accepted to graduate school for occupational therapy in Pittsburgh, PA, and we decided to move to a new city together and get our first apartment. Throughout the last two years we have both had new experiences (working in hospitals for Katie, and a job at Fedex for Paul) but we have been together through it all and made new memories, new friends, and adopted a furry new family member, Luna. We have loved every minute of the last two years living together, and are excited for all the future memories we will have together wherever life takes us.
