1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Summer, dressy attire is suggested. Be comfortable. We'll be dressed in our finery, but if you wear white, be prepared with your vows... ;-)
Robinson Park is a small park in Sandstone, Minnesota, where Katie's dad spent most of his childhood. It was the location of a famous quarry that was in operation until the late 1930's - producing blocks of sandstone that were used to build stately buildings all over the Midwest. Today, the cliff left over from the quarry is a famous ice climbing site. We're choosing to do our vows at this site because of its importance to Katie's dad. - - - IMPORTANT: We'll provide a late lunch, beverages and cake. Parking is close to the ceremony site, but there are stone stairs to where we'll do our vows. Please wear shoes you can walk in. We're taking measures to reduce mosquitos on site and will have bug spray available, but you might want to bring long sleeves or a coverup. This is a public park, with rustic bathrooms. Functional, but non-flushing toilets with running water. (Recently "upgraded", but we suggest stopping by a gas station, or convenience store when you get to Sandstone.)
