The Farmers Market at Rittenhouse Square is open every Saturday until 2pm. We love coming here to browse and have coffee Saturday mornings. Katie's particular favorite things to get include the "kiddie bouqets" from the Amish stand and the pickle guys. The market is a short walk from our hotel blocks.
K'Far has great breakfast items and is right near the Rittenhouse Farmers market. The egg and cheese bagel is AMAZING (in Katie's words - it's worth the lactaid). It gets busy so we suggest ordering takeout ahead of time and having a picnic in the park.
A great coffee spot not far from our wedding block and right by the Rittenhouse Farmers market. We recommend the cinnamon rolls and avocado toast.
This is Brady's all-time favorite spot for vegan sandwiches. Try the general tsos sandwich or the bahn mi.
Check out the suits of armor and Egyption sections!
A really cool museum with an interesting history.
A nice spot for breakfast not far from the Logan Hotel.
MLK drive is typically closed to traffic on the weekend and is great for running and biking! If you’re up for a longer run or a decent bike ride, you can do the MLK - Kelly Drive loop along the river.
One of Katie's favorite places to enjoy the plants around her and have a drink and a snack. It’s not too far of a walk from center city.
This bar is great for groups to play ping pong. If you go, don't tell Sheila (Katie's Mom) because she will be busy, but extremely tempted to kick your butt with her table tennis skills.
An old standby and worth checking out
Interested in hiking, trail running, or fishing? There are lots of trail options along with Wissahickon creek! Forbidden Drive is a flat path that is great for bikes. It is also accessible through the Manayunk neighborhood of Philadelphia. We know nothing about fishing, but Andy Lane is your guy.
Get a day pass and try rock climbing! This is where we climb, it's fun and you can use the sauna afterward for a ~spa~ experience
Are you into fancy cocktails? Do you like feeling cool? This is your spot. Check out the mural of Lil Nas X nearby.
We are obsessed with our neighborhood and recommend checking out the Italian Market. Isgros = pastries Angelos = pizzas Sarcones = bread Dibrunos Bottle Shop = a quick drink
A wonderful restaurant in Bella Vista (our neighborhood). If you're near here - stop by our house and see if you can see Quaker in the front window. This is a James Beard-winning restaurant!
Another fabulous restaurant in Bella Vista. Don't miss the homemade focaccia. They also have won a James Beard award
AMAZING and featured on Chef's Table on Netflix. Bring cash and an Andy Lane level of enthusiasm for delicious pork tacos. Is a short walk down 9th street if you’re in the Italian Market, They recently won the James Beard award. https://philly.eater.com/2022/6/14/23165743/james-beard-awards-philly-2022-winners-south-philly-barbacoa-cristina-martinez
A cute art gallery, coffee shop, and light lunch spot in Bella Vista
Vegan donuts! We love them, but if you miss this stop you're in luck because we will also have these at the wedding!
Do you like vegan food, street art, and affordable beverages? Check out Brady's favorite bar - Tattooed Mom
Check out one of our friends' breweries! It's in a cute neighborhood called East Passyunk. If you go here, we also recommend walking down the street to browse Urban Jungle. Cartesian allows ordering food in and you can't beat the cheesesteak bao buns from Bing Bing Dim Sum.
