From sea level to mountain top, we have been through a lot as friends before we stopped ignoring something everyone else knew to be true. In 2016, we met working as servers at a waterfront restaurant in Salem, MA. We enjoyed karaoke weekly (for over a year) with a group of friends, and continued to learn how well we got along. Some might say we were "two ships passing in the night," but the time finally came, more than 7 years later. When we told our friends that we were starting to see each other as more than friends, nobody was shocked, but they were elated for us. Yes, our first actual date included karaoke. We moved in together in Lynn, MA, in 2023, had an amazing summer together, took our first international vacation, and all of this happened before a job opportunity prompted us to move (back) to Western Massachusetts that winter. It happened quickly, but we knew this would be an important decision for both of us. The spring and summer of 2024 in our new hometown felt like a daydream with weekly hikes, new friends, and new adventures. Lloyd proposed to Kati days after getting a ring. Kati had no idea and didn't expect it. We had a fun weekend and a day-long date on Monday before Kati's birthday. At the end of the date, at our apartment, Lloyd got on one knee. As if he had to ask? Kati said yes and got a fiancé for her birthday. Soon thereafter, we bought our first home and began planning our wedding. June 27, 2026 we will be married atop Mt. Tom. in Holyoke, MA. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you and mark this next chapter in our story.
