Kati recently started sharing her favorite outdoorsy activities in the Portland area on her blog, Kati Explores. Check it out for hiking, running, biking, and other fun day trip ideas.
This restaurant is owned by Jorge's family friends Salvador and Mercedes Galvan. They are generously providing the food for our wedding and it is delicious, authentic, homemade Mexican food.
This is Kati and Jorge's favorite restaurant in Portland. It is ranked the 27th best pizzeria in the entire world!
Kati's all-time favorite coffee shop - located in Hillsboro, and very close to the reception venue!
A surprisingly exciting museum of rocks (not rice) just minutes away from our reception in North Plains.
I couldn't resist adding my favorite, happiest place on earth. Go for a delightful bike ride or walk, or simply take a photo of the railroad trestle and marvel in nature. I've spent thousands of hours here, it would be my great joy to share it with you. -Kati
Wow! A Thai restaurant named after me? And spelled correctly?! Thanks to MOH Sarah for introducing the best vegetarian Thai food in Portland to me, all those years ago. -Kati
Jorge's favorite rainy-day activity in Portland. Put on your craziest roller disco outfit and do some laps!
For a classic Kati day, get a chai latte at the zoo's cafe, put on a true crime podcast, and embrace the "weird adult alone at the zoo" aesthetic as you walk around and admire the critters. Say hi to the crocodile for Kati!
While you probably won't be skiing in June, Timberline is a PNW bucket list sight. Stop at Joe's Donuts on your way to the Lodge, explore the historic building (famous for its role in The Shining), and then go for a hike in the Mount Hood National Forest.
If you've always wanted to see a living 11-foot long white sturgeon, now is your chance! Visit Herman the Sturgeon here, and enjoy a day in the Columbia River Gorge.
