We're getting married!

James and Kati met during their first year of med school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In a class made up of 75% women, Kati jokes that getting James to notice her wasn’t easy, but he insists she stood out from the start. As study partners, with James helping Kati tackle her Anki flashcards, they quickly clicked and officially started dating in April 2019. Together, they discovered a shared love for rock climbing, traveling, and hiking with their dog, Millie. They powered through the next four years of med school with plenty of adventures and some studying. In 2022, they graduated, with Millie earning an honorary "dog-torate." After matching together, they packed up and moved to Cleveland for their residencies in emergency medicine and pediatrics. Their next big step will be moving to San Diego in July 2025 for James's first attending job and Kati's fellowship in Neonatology. In February 2024, during a ski trip in Santa Fe surrounded by family and friends, James proposed. Their adventure continues, and they can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
