Ingles Market
For those who wish to stay longer, Ingles is the local supermarket. There's a Starbucks inside and they sell beer and wine!
Pool at Rumbling Bald
Trout Stream Pool (with lazy river) is open weekend only after Sept 2nd. The indoor pool is open all year round. The 2nd pool at Apply Valley (2 miles from Rumbling Bald) is open during the week 9-7pm after Sept 2nd.
Appalachia Restaurant
AMAZING FOOD AND DRINKS! This place will NOT disappoint. There is an outdoor patio overlooking the lake and mountains (seen in the picture on our homepage). Make your way down to the dock area. There is a small bar with a tv (ask for Bill or Logan) and some seating. Sit and take in the fresh mountain air and view. You won't want to miss it! Reservations are highly encouraged if you're interested in dinner. Make this is a must if you're extending your stay.

Victory Kitchen
Great spot for a traditional breakfast! Pancakes are fluffy and the home made biscuits are highly recommended :)

La Strada At Lake Lure
Za. One bite, everyone knows the rules. Also, really good mozzarella sticks!
Lake House Restaurant Bar & Grill
Went for drinks to take in the view. Have not had any food but it's your typical bar food.
Golf at Rumbling Bald Resort
There are two golf courses on the property - Apple Valley and Rumbling Bald Golf Course. We will be here for the week leading up to the big day. If you’re interested in any golfing, get in touch with Tim to coordinate tee times.
Asheville
Asheville is a perfect day trip, it is only an hour away! Lots of shopping, breweries and BBQ. Bears BBQ is BOMB! The brisket and pulled pork melts in your mouth. There is indoor and outdoor seating with the option of grabbing local beers from the bar! Other breweries in the area that we've been to: -Twin Leaf -One World Brewing -Funkatorium -Green Man -The Chemist --- not a brewery, it's a distillery! Breakfast spot - Biscuit Head. the biscuits are literally the size of your head. Burger spot - Juicy Lucy. Lots of options, build your own, milkshakes are good too!
