The John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art features thousands of Medieval, Renaissance, Greek, Roman and Cypriot antiquities and works of art. Travelers rave about the property's courtyard and gardens, which feature fountains, statues, various flowers and picturesque views of Sarasota Bay. Make sure to also visit Ca D'Zan and admire its architecture.

Selby Gardens is located on the shores of Sarasota Bay best known for its living collection of more than 6,000 orchids. Activities include a children’s rainforest garden, tropical glass house conservatory and 15 acres of lush grounds with two historic homes, including the Museum of Botany & the Arts.

St. Armands Circle is home to almost a dozen restaurants and shops. It is also a few blocks from Lido Beach.

Easiest to reach from downtown, Lido Beach on Lido Key offers more than 3,000 feet of white sand. It is known for its calm waters and shelling (bring water shoes for kiddos as the shells in the ocean can be hard on feet). Lido Beach sits within walking distance of St. Armands Circle, where various shops and eateries reside.

Siesta Key's Crescent Beach is known for being one of the finest, whitest sand beaches in the world. Its perfect for relaxing at the beach or activities like jogging, throwing frisbees, volleyball and picnicking. Snorkelers love the sea life at Point of Rocks at the south end of Crescent Beach.
