We met while working at Menards. After I transferred to the Michigan City store we started working some similar shifts in early 2016. One night we both had closing shifts and Dalton invited me out for drinks with him and another coworker. Dalton and I closed down Bdubs talking about our love for music. A couple weeks after that, on April 15th, Dalton invited me out for dinner and we had our first date at El Cantarito in Michigan City.

We had a weekend getaway in October (2023) in Galena, Illinois. Our Sunday there we had a special wine tasting at a goat farm where we were able to pick our favorite wine from the tasting and take it on our hike with the goats (View the gallery for pics!). Later that afternoon we went to Chestnut Mountain Resort and rode alpine coasters for the first time. We had a blast, then after that, we decided to take a walk and enjoy some scenic views. Shortly into our walk we stopped to enjoy the view over looking the Mississippi River, and Dalton popped the question. Later that night we went to a place called Fried Green Tomatoes and had an amazing dinner to end the perfect day and celebrate! :)
