Since I started at Kaiser in 2007, we became instant friends. We've done so much together, like shopping during lunch break, administering infant shots together, creating display boards for our department, pumpkin decorating for Halloween, volunteer service in Westminster, eating lunch together, etc. She will tell me things honestly and has been there with me during difficult but also happy times.

She was my first friend in the world. As a child I would go to her room to look for her. I remember staying up late playing Nintendo and then covering up the game when mom would come check on us and pretend that we are asleep. I remember us setting up all the Barbie stuff we had: the pool, the car and bathroom and then mom coming in and saying to go to bed. It's like there was not enough hours in a day to play. I remember how she would make up songs about every day things like taking a shower. We would sing together. She would like it when I would prepare her a sandwich and she always liked extra mayonnaise in it. She loved her fries drenched in ketchup . She's a talented singer, dancer and performer.

The Orellanas have been a part of our family since Rosemary and I were in Junior High (26 years ago!) and we grew up with their sons since we were similar in age. Sra. Maria is my mom's right hand, doing everything together, going shopping, traveling, dancing, and experiencing life together. Mr. Orellana is the funniest man I know! He's so quick at telling jokes.
