Kathy and Alex met in 2011 when their friends Tiffany and Michael introduced them in passing. Alex was "Michael's roommate" and Kathy was "Tiffany's friend from medical school." They saw each other a handful of times after that, always in social settings... it's still up for debate when they actually began remembering each other's names! The stars must've aligned in some sort of way for them to get where they are today. They decided to become a couple on New Year's Day in 2016 while driving to Marfa, TX. There's no better compatibility test than a 9-hour road trip!

It was a beautiful morning in Tuscany. They woke up early and decided to go on a walk to explore the area. Wandering along a lavender-lined trail, they let their noses take the lead. There wasn't a soul around this early in the morning, except for an especially rowdy rooster (that took a liking to Kathy). They climbed to the top of a hill and admired the vineyards as far as the eye could see. There wasn't going to be a more perfect moment, plus the sun was just right for selfies! Alex got down on one knee and asked Kathy to marry him. With no make up and all, she said yes!
