We Can't Wait to Celebrate! Again!

June 26, 2021 we were married in a small ceremony once we returned home from China, it was beautiful--but we are still looking forward to celebrating with everyone during our reception this year! We'll be celebrating June 25th, 2022 at a local park in Libertyville, IL. And we wanted this to be a fun, outdoor, and casual celebration--the way a party should be! We met in 2018 while working for Thinkwell on a dream project for each of us. While the project took a turn, as they often do, we became closer friends. While Kathrynn was in China, and Andy was housesitting for her, our friendship became something more. We came to find out that for the last several years we'd just barely missed each other - attending the same Hanson concert, working at Disney at the same time, living back to back in Burbank, interviewing for the same jobs, Comic Cons, and mutual friends, etc. Upon Kathrynn’s return to LA there were tacos, Halloween events, movies, theme parks, and our relationship grew. In 2019 we each took assignments with Universal Creative and moved to Beijing. In the begging of June 2021 we returned from our assignment engaged, and on the 26th were married in a small ceremony at Kathrynn's parents home in California. Within the month following we found out we were pregnant, moved to Florida, bought a house, and started a brand new project! It has all been an adventure to say the least. Through the madness of the pandemic and countless moments of life changing and evolving over the last three years we’ve been so lucky to have found support and love in each other.

Halloween night, amongst our Beijing family, we hosted a party to celebrate our favorite holiday. Midway through the night Andy addressed the group with our 13 night Funko Halloween advent calendar. He explained we’d been opening the last 12 nights of October and Kathrynn should do the honors for the last compartment. Absolutely clueless, Kathrynn opened the box with figures inside. In the pouch with Jason (from Friday the 13th, Kathrynn’s favorite slasher) was the ring. Down on one knee, Andy asked- and she said yes! We enjoyed a great night celebrating with friends and FaceTiming with family.
