Kathryn and Jordan first met as students at the University of South Florida in the Fall of 2011. Jordan, a freshman on campus, met Kathryn who happened to be helping with new student orientation. They stayed in touch, volunteering together and crossing paths from time to time. While they didn’t see sparks right away, they connected after discovering their similar family backgrounds. Sadly, the two gradually lost touch after they graduated, but that was not the end of their story… After graduation, Kathryn was busy founding the Underground Clinic in Tampa, while Jordan was getting his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. It wasn’t until March 2019, that the two crossed paths again. Kathryn attended a medical conference at UF where Jordan was still in school, and they just happened to walk by each other. Jordan was just weeks away from graduating and starting his residency in Rhode Island, but this chance encounter felt pre-destined. That night they got dinner at their favorite Asian restaurant and kept talking even after Jordan moved away. By that winter, they decided to try a long-distance relationship and now in October 2021, almost 10 years to the date of their first meeting, they're getting married!
