Getting to Burlington
Burlington, also known as the Queen City, is Vermont's largest municipality. Situated on the easterly shore of Lake Champlain and nestled between the Adirondack and Green Mountains, Burlington is a popular year-round destination. We can't wait to show you around the place we call home.
There are several transportation options for getting to Burlington. If flying, look for flights to BTV Patrick Leahy International Airport, named after a long-serving State senator (can you guess their name?). Thanks to recent federal and State funding cuts, there is no longer a convenient bus route between the airport and downtown Burlington, so make plans to rent a car, carpool, or uber once you arrive.
For those living in the New York / New England area, Burlington is an easy day's drive by car.
Lastly, if you are coming from New York City or the Hudson Valley, consider taking the Ethan Allen Express Amtrak line directly to Union Station in downtown Burlington.
Safe travels!
